Fulani’s Herdsmen invading farmland, destroying our crops with their grazing cows – Imo community

The Community of Ifakala Mbaitoli, in Imo state has raised the alarm over Fulani Herdsmen invasion of their farmland, destroying their crops.

War looms as Fulani Herdsmen start destroying farmers crops with their grazing cows in Ifakala, Mbaitoli, Imo state.

Some farmland in Ifakala have been invaded and crops destroyed by Fulani herdsmen cattle and no one seem to be concerned about this ugly trend.

We have two types of Fulani herdsmen rearing cattle in Ifakala.

Herdsmen seen during the day (They have maximum of 100 cattle).

Herdsmen seen during the midnight and early hours of the morning between 12am and 4am (They have minimum of 100 cattle).

If we can remember, these herdsmen attacked and wounded a citizen of Ifakala with a dagger at Ocham/Ofeke last 2 years.

Taking into account what we have heard and seen about these Fulani herdsmen and the atrocities they have committed in other states and communities, an urgent action is needed to be taken by Ifakala/Nkalu Town Union to push these herdsmen out of Ifakala/Nkalu and its environs before they start Perpetrating their ugly acts in our own community.

Long live Ndi Ifakala/Nkalu.
