The Lagos government has announced that with the campaign rally visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the state on Saturday, February 9, it does not have intention of closing down major roads across the mega city.
The decision was revealed in a statement made available by the commissioner for transportation in the state, Ladi Lawanson, on Friday, February 8, Channels reports.
Lawanson has warned people to stay clear of the Teslim Balogun Stadium where the campaign rally is billed to hold.
Recall that the Lagos state government had initially announced on Wednesday, February 6, that some major roads would be fully or partially closed down for the president’s anticipated visit.
But in a subsequent media release, the government promised not to disrupt the business activities of the state, urging citizens to move on with their daily engagements.
