Today is a happy day for President Muhammadu Buhari as regards his re-election bid as the Fertiliser Producers and Suppliers Association of Nigeria (FEPSAN) has reportedly donated N570 million to his campaign funding ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Thomas Etuh, the president of FEPSAN, announced on Wednesday, December 19, during a Gala night organised by the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The event had a lot of political heavyweights in attendance including President Muhammadu Buhari and a national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, among others.
Etuh, who said the money was contributions for the re-election of President Buhari, commended President Buhari for turning around the fortunes of farmers in the country as he turned around the fortunes of farmers in the country positively.
He claimed that from four before 2015, the country now has 30 fertiliser blending plants working at full capacity.
