Nigerian singer-songwriter, producer, performer and dancer Tekno arrived Nigeria after weeks of being away from music scene and undergoing treatment in the United states for damaged vocal cord and twhile the pop star was hoping to come back to kick start his carrer, he received a bombshell from his Management and from the look of things. he may never perform again in the remaining part of the year
Ubi Franklin who announced that Tekno has returned to Nigeria after treatment for his damaged vocal box, wrote on Instagram;
‘Welcome back Man. Though you can’t still perform for now till you are fully recovered, we will turn for others and show love’
This is coming after the singer took to social media to talk about the state of his health; saying “it has been very difficult for me.” Some days ago, the chief executive officer of Made Men Music Group, Ubi Franklin, who doubles as Tekno’s manager, announced that his label’s act will not be able to sing or perform at shows for a while because his voice box is temporarily damaged.
He wrote “These past few months have been really trying times for your favourite boy Tekno Miles.
“He had tried to downplay the severity of his ailment hoping it will be short-lived but after further diagnoses, doctors have advised that he take time out to fully recover. His vocal box is temporarily damaged due to strain from overtime performances and cannot sing or perform for a while. Please put Tekno in your prayers. Nevertheless, he also wants to reassure his fans that they have nothing to worry about because he has put in so much work so a lot of great music will be released during this period.”
Tekno Miles was first signed under K-Money Entertainment. His first single titled “Holiday” was released under the imprint. With featured vocals from Davido, “Holiday” was positively accepted and gained massive airplay.In 2012 while in Abuja, Tekno Miles was spotted by renowned Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu at an event after Tekno Miles received a standing ovation following the performance of a song titled “Onye Ne Kwu”, his remix of Ice Prince’s “Oleku”. It was at the same event he met Iyanya and Ubi Franklyn, the manager of Made Men Music Group who he became friends with. Ubi and Iyanya eventually encouraged Tekno Miles to move to Lagos to further his music career
On October 5, 2013, he signed a recording contract with Made Men Music Group under which he released singles like “Dance” and “Anything” which won him a nomination in the “Best New act of the Year” category at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.On June 18, 2015, Tekno Miles released his hit single titled “Duro” which was positively received both in Africa and in the US. A remix which featured Phyno and Flavour N’abania was released on November 16, 2015. “Duro” was produced by DJ Coublon. It topped several charts in Nigeria and on the international scene, it peaked at #5 on Capital XTRA’s “Afrobeats Chart: Top 10” for September 2015. On November 20, 2015, Tekno Miles released a single titled “Wash”. The song was produced by DJ Coublon with the video directed by AJE Filmworks.
