Goodluck Jonathan is a hero, am sorry for my deeds – Embattled Senator Dino Melaye confess

The embattled Kogi-born Senator, Dino Melaye, who represents Kogi-West at the National Assembly, has taken to his Instagram page to lament on his situation under the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The outspoken Lawmaker, who subtly threw a dig at the current administration in an Instagram message, disclosed that he was never framed up or arraigned for fighting former President, Goodluck Jonathan.

He posted a photo during one of his public protests against ex-President Jonathan and wrote: “I was never framed up for fighting Jonathan. Never arraigned! Aluta continua victoria asata.”

The Lawmaker further posted a photo of himself sitting with President Muhammadu Buhari, tagging it ‘before before’.

The photo was believed to have been taken prior to the 2015 Presidential election

Melaye, who is currently involved in a face-off with the Nigeria Police Force, was reported to have jumped off a Police van, in Abuja, while being conveyed to Lokoja, to face criminal charges.

The Lawmaker subsequently developed health challenges suddenly, and was admitted at the National Hospital, in Abuja.

After receiving treatment for some days, the Police took Melaye to Lokoja, where he was arraigned on a stretcher, over alleged unlawful possession of arms, alongside two others, in Kogi State.

The Kogi State Chief Justice, however, ordered the Lawmaker to be remanded in Police custody, and be returned to the National Hospital, in Abuja.

However, the Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja, last Wednesday, granted Melaye bail.

The Kogi State Chief Judge, Justice Nasiru Ajana, admitted Melaye to bail in the sum of N10 million, with one surety. The bail was granted on health grounds.
