Great Victory For All PDP Looters, As President Muhammadu Buhari Receives Strict Marching Order From APC, A Very Major Test
Reacting to the recent controversies surrounding the comments by President Muhammadu Buhari, of him not being aware of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris’ disregard for a Presidential order to relocate to Benue State amidst the Fulani herdsmen saga, the Presidency has broken its silence.
Mr. Femi Adesina, the Presidential Spokesman, has on Tuesday, said that President Buhari did not know about the absence of the Inspector General of Police in Benue State, because he is “not omniscient”.
The Presidential Spokesman made this known while appearing on a RayPower FM public affairs programme, ‘Political Platform’, on Tuesday morning.
Mr. Adesina, speaking on Tuesday morning, on the radio programme, said the President has other channels of information, but does not receive all information.
“It just tells you that the President is not omniscient.
“As President and Commander-in-Chief, he has other channels, but it does not mean that he gets every information under the sun.”
“Even in the best countries in the world, the super powers, there still would be security breaches and failures. It is not correct…”
“The message it (the killings) sent is that security is a collective responsibility; it is not the responsibility of the President alone. What Nigerians expect is that everything will flow from the top, which is not correct. It rather should even flow from the bottom up.
“What Nigerians expect is that the President would be like a knight in shining armour, who comes to settle all security issues even in wards and villages and hamlets. No, it does not work that way”, he said.
